Description

The Ginkgo tree was first known to western science as a fossil, until the living trees were observed in China. The leaves are fan shaped, and turn butter yellow in autumn.
The leaves on this bag are painted with metallic gold fabric paint to represent their glow in autumn sunlight. Their unusual vein structure is quilted through the paint. A few have fallen from the branch above.
The bag is small, and fits my iPad Air very nicely (but please check the dimensions), with a long strap to keep it secure across the body rather than on one shoulder.
The back and lining are made from a fabric named 'gold', but I think it looks more like cork. The back is quilted in random ginkgo leaves. The strap is made from fabric with gold-enhanced tea-tree fruit, strengthened and made more comfortable with wadding. The paint has been heat-set to make it permanent.
The wadding and the fabric are all cotton, so gentle cold washing and drying in the shade is recommended.
Measurements: the bag is 27 cm x 21 cm and the strap is 127 cm long.
