Bound in soft kangaroo leather, the cover is smooth, sturdy, and durable—designed to age beautifully with use. At its centre is a print of my original painting of Scáthach, the Celtic warrior woman and teacher of heroes. She embodies courage, discipline, and deep inner knowing, offering a sense of guidance and guardianship to the one who holds this journal.
The binding is created using a traditional Japanese stab stitch, hand-sewn along the spine with care and intention. The visible stitching forms a strong, structured pattern, giving the piece both stability and a quiet, timeless aesthetic.
Inside, the journal contains plain white, unlined notepaper. Clean and simple, these pages offer an open space for writing, sketching, or capturing thoughts as they come—free from structure and ready for whatever you choose to place upon them.
