Every one of my Australian bird sculptures is individually handmade in my country Victorian studio.
Each bird is cut from timber using a bandsaw and scroll saw, then carefully shaped and sanded by hand to achieve a beautifully smooth finish. The timber is undercoated, sanded again and finished with multiple coats of high-quality Australian-made, UV-stable artist acrylics, creating the bold colours and distinctive Pop Art style that defines my work.
Designed as a freestanding piece of art for a shelf, windowsill or favourite space, each bird is presented with its own handmade matching display block.
Presentation is also an important part of my work. Every bird arrives nestled in protective shredded paper inside a colourful signature gift box, together with a matching thank-you card — making it ready to give as a uniquely Australian gift.
