Description
Silver moon phase necklace with eco silver and raw sapphires.
Handmade in my small studio on the Gold Coast in Australia.
Inspired by the moon phases, a symbol of growth, fortitude and persistence.
Raw sapphires that have been polished in their natural form, nuggets of nature in its perfect natural form, just polished- like how rocks turn to pebbles in fierce waters.
To make this necklace I start by creating silver discs from recycled silver sheet and then heating them individually to create the moon surface texture (you can watch the process on my Instagram reels). For this design, I then cut out the crescent moon shapes and silver solder it all together with the raw sapphires in place.
A unique piece and a first of its kind- although I've fallen in love with this design and its deeper meaning. No two could ever be alike when they are made by hand, each piece formed with unique processes. That's the beauty of buying handmade from artisans!
This necklace end to end measures 41cm, but sits shorter as the pendant is 7cm long and straight. It will sit at the 34cm length. If you are interested in this piece but would like the chain longer or shorter, just send me a message to customise the chain. It has a lobster style clasp for a secure and easy fit.
This necklace comes in its own black cardboard box with a foam insert to keep it safe while travelling to you and for you to use as storage.
I send my jewellery in recycled plastic mailers that you can also reuse or recycle again.
My parcels are sent tracked so we can make sure your beautiful jewellery arrives how it should.
Colours may very slightly from different phones screens and computer monitors.
If you have any questions about the item shoot me a message, I'm here to help.
