Description
Hand built ceramic serving dish and matching dip or condiments dish.
Double fired stoneware.
Inspired by the northwest Australian Kimberley and Pilbara deserts and coastline, I have glazed the platter with an abstract landscape design, using the wonderful red and gold ochres with a hint of blue sky, so prominent in the area.
Platter - Approx 10 x 5 x 1/2"(depth) - 26 x 13 x 1cm Bowl - Approx 3.5" diam x 1" depth - 9 x 2.5cm
I create all of my wares using a hand built/slab building technique in small quantities. This can result in unique irregularities in each item. My vessels are not meant to be 'perfect'. They are meant to show the hand of the maker and as such, each one is special and unique.
Each one hand built and hand glazed, creating a unique item with the touch of the artist apparent in their natural contours.
Foodsafe Hand washing is recommended.
