This pair of ceramic wall hangings are organic in shape and texture and have been made by using a rustic/ earthy speckled clay and soft natural cotton cord.
These pieces started out as a hand rolled slab of clay, textured by hand and fired first to bisque and then secondly after they had been glazed.
Adding some natural coloured cotton cord gives the pieces softness and movement.
This clay contains trachyte particles which gives it a gritty natural feel, where the glaze has been applied the texture is smoother and the trachyte particles create a speckled appearance.
Because of this natural gritty texture you may choose to add felt to the back of the pieces so that they sit smoothly against the wall.
Measuring 59cm x 14cm for the longer piece and 55cm x 16cm for the smaller one, as a pair they make a unique addition to your home decor.
Best suited for indoor display.
