This little beautiful crystal opal which weighs approximately 0.4 carat has been set into a tiny sterling silver bezel. The solid silver ring shank which measures approximately 1.5 mm wide has been soldered to the bezel.
The crystal Opal which measures 7 mm x 5 mm has been set into the bezel using a burnishing tool to burnish the edges of the metal over the stone and I also fabricated the ring shank using soldering sanding and polishing.
The source of the Opal is Lightning Ridge. As the Opal is solid, there is no need to take your ring off when in public and risk leaving it behind just leave it on your finger when washing but be gentle.
Care – care for your beautiful little opal by gently cleaning with a soft damp cloth and then polish with a jewellery polishing cloth. Keep your opals in their little boxes or in your jewelry box separate from other jewelry.
