Native Shibori Floating Art bY HaND “Palm Springs”

Inspired by our trip earlier this year to Miami Beach and a little eclectic coffee house I visited for a quiet girls breakfast with my daughter. 

These framed artworks are my homage to 2 beautiful cultures, celebrating our Australian native flora through eco printing with eucalyptus, bottlebrush, wattle and flowers, as an under dye for some truly tradition Shibori resist techniques, creating what I can only describe as a marriage made in heaven. The 2 opposing techniques give these art pieces such life, a full bodied nature and you can actually ‘feel’ the heritage. A stunning addition to any home. 

All creations are air dried in the beautiful fresh, sea breeze of Moreton Bay, Qld with the beach on our back doorstep.
