Packaging & Shipping
Myra arrives beautifully presented and ready for gifting.
She will be carefully nestled inside a handmade gift box (crafted by me) lined with wool felt. The gift box is made of corrugated cardboard sheets and features a biodegradable clear cellophane window.
For her journey to you, the gift box is placed inside a recycled mailing box and then protected inside a green home-compostable mailer.
The Art Behind Myra
Myra has been created using the art of needle felting - a traditional fibre art where soft wool is carefully sculpted and shaped using a delicate barbed needle. Each tiny detail is formed by hand, making the process both mindful and time-intensive.
Inspired by Waldorf traditions, needle-felted creations celebrate simplicity, natural materials and a sense of wonder. Myra's gentle faceless design is intentional, inviting each person to imagine their own story, emotions and connection with her.
Rather than defining who she is, her simple features leave space for personal meaning, making her a beautiful keepsake to treasure or gift to someone special.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How is Myra best displayed?
Myra is designed as a hanging decoration and loves to float gently in a special corner of your home. Hang her from a hook, decorative stand, shelf bracket or curtain rod where her wings and dress can fall naturally.
She brings a touch of woodland magic to reading nooks, bedrooms, craft rooms and cosy spaces. For the longest life, display her indoors away from direct sunlight, moisture and strong drafts.
Q: What if she becomes a little flattened during shipping?
Because Myra is made from soft natural wool fibres, she may arrive needing a gentle fluff after her travels. Simply smooth her hair, dress and wings with your fingers and she will quickly return to her original shape.
Q: How do I care for her?
Myra is a delicate decorative art piece that requires gentle care. Handle gently, keep away from moisture and display indoors away from prolonged direct sunlight. When she arrives, she may be slightly flattened from her journey. Simply give her a gentle fluff and restore her original shape using your fingers to smooth her hair and dress. Avoid brushing her, as this may frizz the fibers or pull them out. If needed, gently smooth her wings back into shape using your fingertips. Any small fuzzy fibres can be carefully trimmed with sharp embroidery scissors to keep her looking neat and beautiful. Do not pull the fibers out or brush the wool.
A Few Gentle Notes
Myra was made to be treasured as a decorative keepsake and collectible art piece. She is not intended as a toy and is not suitable for young children.
Due to the delicate nature of needle-felted wool and the small components used in her creation, she is best displayed and enjoyed as a decorative piece.
A Little Note
Myra was lovingly handcrafted to be a small reminder of the people, memories and moments that stay with us through life's journey. If her story speaks to your heart, I would be delighted to send her on her way to become part of your story too.
