These stylish bags are made of new cotton canvas, which is more heavy duty than the cotton used for dressmaking and quilting. Beautifully finished with topstitching and french seams using cotton thread, so at the end of it's long useful life each bag should fully decompose. Meanwhile, it can be washed, mended, patched, even dyed and generally restored, whatever life throws at it. It has no lining, so will just fold away like a regular supermarket bag. The sleeve in the base encloses a removeable reused cardboard packaging insert, which can be removed for machine washing.
