Description
These elegant pair of lily of the valley earrings are handmade in Melbourne, Australia by Kei.
Each bell flower and leaf is handcrafted one-by-one. They are hand-drawn, cut out, and warped into shape by hand one at a time, so they vary slightly in size, shape and colour - just like in nature.
The flowers are approximately 1cm in diameter. The exterior is frosted white with a pearl bead inside. Being made of plastic, they are very light and durable.
The ear hook wires will be slightly larger than in the sample photos and will be hypoallergenic surgical stainless steel. (Also available as non-pierced earrings)
A little about how it's made:
Each flower/leaf/berry charm is hand-drawn onto a sheet of sanded plastic and coloured in using paint, markers, and/or coloured pencils. These hand-painted pieces are cut out one-by-one and heated to make them shrink, thicken, and harden. This is done one at a time so that they can be straightened or bent into shape while they're still very, very hot - within 5 seconds they harden so this warping process needs to be done very quickly with thick gloves on. Once all charms are created individually, they are put together to make kawaii jewellery.
These pairs are elegant enough to wear to work or christmas parties, and casual enough to wear everyday!
