This handmade crocheted kids squishy scarf is looking for its forever home! It’s made with 100% acrylic yarn so it’s machine washable and able to withstand the rough and tumble of life as a kiddo. My own two kids (aged 2 and 4) each have their own version of this scarf and have been road testing it for me with great success. It's currently withstanding being dragged across the floor as a train, used as a "horsey" and keeping various teddies warm.
It's made with a beautiful ombre yarn which moves through shades of pink, peach and orange, creating a soft stripe effect. The scarf measures approximately 1.5m L x 13cm W and is able to be wrapped once around the neck comfortably without too much excess scarf overhang - no tripping hazards here. I'd estimate it would be appropriate for kids aged 2 - 8 years old.
The pattern is the Squishy Scarf by Yarra Yarn Creations (me!) and took approx. 4 hours to make.
Care Instructions: Warm machine wash (40 degrees max) in a garment bag, or use a very low spin cycle. This will avoid stretching. Dry flat on a clothes airer or pop in the tumble dryer on a low heat setting.
