Description

A modern take on a traditional pouch, used in Japan to carry rice offerings to the temple or to hold gifts.

These bags are created using a collection of my ice dyed fabrics combining various shades to create beautiful watercolour effects. For the lining and details I chose single dyes that enhance the colours of the exterior.

2 Drawstring cords pull in all 4 sides at the same time, resulting in the typical box shape. With its wide opening it lends itself well for holding sewing supplies, small projects, toiletries, scrabble tiles, jewellery and hair ties, pharmaceuticals,  keys to name but a few.
The whole bag is padded and lined. Extra detail is added with my hand made rainbow and heart label and Japanese style string knot covers.

Dimensions: 16cm wide, 16cm deep, 17.5cm high

Care: Cotton outer, Cotton lining, cotton or polyester wadding. Spot clean only, hot iron
