The process

we hand-form stoneware clay into small pinch pots

engrave

inlay with a contrasting clay

scape then smooth the surface

fire in the kiln to 1240°C

These adorable 'beach pebble vessels' are unglazed

therefore do not hold water.

They can however, be soaked in water (for about 10 minutes) for a fresh stem to linger longer but would need to be placed on a suitable waterproof surface (eg: tile, ceramic plate)
