Hand painted, upcycled zippered pouch.
This fully hand stitched pouch is made on a base of vintage Actil sheeting that I have hand painted. I have then attached a pocket that has been constructed of layers of vintage textiles and stitches.
The lining of the pouch is a piece of vintage silk that does have age marks but these only add to the character and authenticity of the piece (see images).
All of the textiles and components, including the zipper, bells, textiles and cotton thread have all been rescued to avoid going into landfill.
The zipper has been set and stitched in by hand and has a hand braided cord attached with pieces of the hand painted sheeting on the ends with rusty bells attached inside.
This is a truly beautiful and unique piece that will not be repeated.
