🍁 Hand-dyed in dyebaths created with pecan hulls, brown onion skins, mango leaves, loquat leaves, eucalyptus leaves, liquidambar leaves, and marigold petals.

Various sizes (eg 23cm x 39cm, 29cm sq, 10cm x 23cm)
Laid out covering an area of approx 85cm x 58cm (23 x 34 inches) (a standard calendar wall planner size)

Some pieces have mottled colour and others more solid colour, due to different techniques used to dye the fabric.

To create more colourfast dyed pieces, fabrics have been pre-treated in various ways - some with the common natural dyers' aluminium mordanting and a couple with soy milk binder. Some interaction with iron mordant also on a couple of pieces.

Fabrics used may have come from thrifted fabric, sheets, or clothes, therefore some of the fabric pieces shapes reflect that origin.

Care Instructions

For longest enjoyment of these natural colours -If using on an item that will be washed, make sure to wash in cold water with mild soap/detergent and hang dry in shade.

For use in art purposes, display finished item out of direct sunlight.
