A custom made, hand drawn illustration of your pet bird(s)
Drawings are done in coloured pencil on heavy weight acid free artist quality paper.
How it works:
Choose your size and number of birds from the options listed.
After you have made your selection/purchase, send me an email to: artbyleannewb@gmail.com with the photograph(s) of your pet bird(s).
A clear photo allows me to see more detail to include.
If you want more than one bird in your illustration, they do not need to be in the same photograph, I can work from multiple photos.
Let me know in your message if you have any special requests. For example: would you prefer a full body drawing or a close up of the head/face.
I do not draw backgrounds in your photos. Your bird is the hero of the drawing! I focus on your pet bird with only minimal surroundings such as a perch (if appropriate)
I will confirm the drawing plan with you before I start with coloured pencil.
This will usually be done with a digital mock up using your photos and/or a graphite pencil outline before any colour is started.
Once approved by you I will start with the colour. I can't make changes once I have started colouring.
The time it takes me to complete your portrait depends on the size, number of birds and whether or not I already have commissions in progress. I always make commissions my priority and will complete as soon as possible. If your drawing is needed by a specific date, feel free to message me to discuss first. I will do my best to accommodate and will always keep you updated of progress.
Please also allow time for postage.
Paper size options are:
A5: 148 x 210mm
A4: 210 x 297mm
Drawings are supplied unframed. They are posted flat in a ridged envelope with a backing board for extra strength.
Your drawing will be sealed inside in a clear acid free envelope for extra protection (this clear bag is suitable for long term storage if required)
