There is something special about flowers that have just been gathered — imperfect, abundant, colourful, and full of life.

Freshly Gathered was inspired by that feeling: the joy of bringing a beautiful handful of flowers home and placing them together without overthinking the arrangement. Some flowers reach outward, others nestle into the bouquet, and a few seem to dance beyond the edges.

The vibrant orange and purple blooms contrast against the deep blue surroundings, while the loose, expressive brushstrokes capture the feeling of flowers rather than simply depicting them.

I wanted this piece to feel alive, spontaneous and joyful — like a moment of summer brought indoors.
