Set of 18 Handpainted Encouragement Cards with Matching Handpainted Pouch
This set of 18 Encouragement Cards (2 of which have the same statement on them) are hand-painted on quality 200 gsm watercolour paper.
I have used several different brands of watercolours including Windsor and Newton, handmade, neon and metallic to name a few, to paint abstract florals as the base.
I have then hand applied layers of textiles including vintage linen and cotton, vintage laces, vintage sari silk, modern quilting cotton fabric. I have used my own hand dyed cotton threads to stitch fine details into each card.
I have left the back uncovered so you can use the Cards in your own journals, you can slip one into a card, you can use them as launching pads to create you own art or of course you can keep them just as they are.
To finish off the collection, I have made a matching handpainted fabric pouch from vintage Actil cotton sheeting, lined with vintage Indian silk.
