These two wheel-thrown cups are made from black midfire clay and glazed in a beautiful shino matcha, a beautiful matte, ashy finish that shifts with the light, catching the texture of the clay beneath. Each one is a little different, carrying the marks of the wheel, the maker, and the kiln.
