Handwarmers (fingerless gloves) knitting pattern. Also known as texting gloves.
A one size fits all pattern, using a beautiful detailed moss stitch pattern. The pattern is for gloves measuring 8" (21cm) in length from fingers to wrist, with a diameter of 19cm (7.5") at wrist with 20cm (7.75") at fingers.
Pattern can be easily adapted for larger or smaller handwarmers and instructions included. This pattern is written in English only.
Updated to show options for various wools - including chunky Malabrigo Rasta or thinner DK Malabrigo Rios yarns. Or We Are Knitters "Petite Wool" (using 8mm/US11/UK0 size straight knitting needles).
Skills required - basic - cast on, bind off... Only need to know how to knit and purl stitches (including how to knit the knit stitches and purl the purl stitches - basic terminology but pictures provided also to help). Straight knitting needles used and a sewing needle to sew together when finished. Links to videos included showing various techniques, for those who may have not knitted before.
Straight needles required - 4.00mm, 4.5mm (and 5.00mm optional for bind off for extra stretch at fingertips)…. Knitted flat and seamed afterwards.
