Description
'Croquet Lawn in Wonderland' is an original mixed media collage.
I found the image of this castle entry in a magazine, and it reminded me of the Queen of hearts' croquet lawn in Alice in Wonderland. Drawing on this idea, I cut the walls out and used some really lovely rich and bright pink fabric underneath. I then substituted the original garden with a winding lawn path from another magazine.
Please note, as this piece is made from magazines and fabric, it is a one-off and imperfect. The paper rises over the places where the fabric is underneath, and you can vaguely see the magazine print from the other side of the page in the sky. However, I think these imperfections make this piece more charming and whimsical.
I am selling this piece unframed and without the matt.
(1st pic) The framed image is indicative only have only to show the size and how it may look with the mat dimensions. In the framed image, the frame is A3 in size with an A3 matt with an A4 picture opening.
(2nd pic) shows a cropped close up of the piece.
(3rd pic) shows the paper size of piece, being A3 (30cm x 42cm). I have deliberately left large edges to allow the buyer to trim as necessary for framing.
POSTAGE:
I post original artwork in sealable clear plastic envelopes with thick backing board inside rigid flat cardboard mailers.
I also use Sendle couriers exclusively.
