Handmade Cotton Wool Christmas Ornament, Made to Order
Each little child ornament is made by hand, one at a time, in the old tradition of cotton wool Christmas decorations from Germany and Eastern Europe.
This listing is a made-to-order ornament. The photos show some of the ornaments I've made before, so you can choose the one you like.
How it's made
I shape the body layer by layer from cotton wool and starch paste over a thin wire frame. Each layer must dry fully before the next. When the s is ready, I paint it by hand with acrylic paint. The face is sculpted from polymer clay and painted, so every child has their own small expression.
Because of the drying time, each ornament takes about a week to make, depending on the weather.

- Has a loop for hanging, and can also stand on a shelf or table
- Each one is made by hand, so yours will be close to the photo but not exactly the same
How to order
Choose the photo you like and place your order. In the order notes, please write the photo number and any changes you'd like (clothing colours, outfit, hat, what the child is holding). I'll message you to check the details before I start making your ornament.

Care
Keep dry. Between seasons, store in a box with soft tissue paper.
This is a decoration, not a toy. Not suitable for young children (contains wire and small parts).
