Gyotaku Fish Print - Pearl Perch
Gyotaku is a traditional Japanese art form of taking a print of the fish. It was used to show the catch when the fishermen returned to shore, very much like we take a photo! The print is captured using sumi ink (similar to squid ink!) and rice paper. The ink is completely non toxic, it is washed off the fish so the flesh can be processed as normal and enjoyed for a meal.
These artworks are high quality giclee archival prints on 308 gsm archival paper.
The prints are easily framed in a standard frame or you can choose to have it professionally framed at your local framer. The prints are available in A4, A5 and A2 ISO sizes but I can also have them printed in US sizings for your ease of framing, just message me for a custom order.
A4 is 210 x 297 mm
A3 is 297 x 420 mm
A2 is 420 x 594 mm
