Made from American Cherry with Blackwood, Ebony & Maple veneer. The underneath of the lid is Blackwood with a piano hinge and magnet.
This is a great sized box for anything but I have inserted a black felt bottom in case it is used for jewellery.
I think this box would be a wonderful gift for a man (always hard to buy for!). It has the lovely contrasting colors and will make a bold statement in any home.

There is a magnetic catch which snaps the lid in place and I've tested it by turning it upside down (without anything in it) and the lid stays in place. It's not so strong that you need a crowbar though!
