A Touch of Tartan is a unique, handmade necklace made of new and re-purposed buttons. My inspiration for this piece was the green and navy blue buttons that have a pretty tartan pattern. It also contains some vintage buttons and two green shank buttons that have a lovely glossy shine. This piece is totally unique and a real "conversation starter". It would be perfect for anyone who likes to wear unusual jewelry or who wants a beautiful Mother's Day gift. There are also some matching earrings which are available as a separate purchase or as part of the set.
The necklace is very light, comfortable to wear and the buttons go right around to the clasp. It has been made using a double strand of silver craft wire for extra durability, and finished with a toggle clasp that is easy to manipulate. Wherever possible, recycled buttons have been incorporated into the jewelry. All button jewelry is designed and handmade with care and is ready to ship. As there is only one of these necklace sets available, you will receive the same one that is pictured.
