These Burgundy glass leaves are melted onto antique copper wire. They are then very hot and placed directly into a little metal leaf mold made especially for that purpose. But too hot or too cold they will break. The skill developed over sometimes over years with a lot of breaks along the way. Also as they are made one at a time the glass pieces are not exactly the same this is what make each set one of kind! Unique!
