Branch Box

Little boxes for your little treasures.  These branch boxes are great for storing your precious earrings, jewellery, crystals and heaps more!  Some people have even bought them to house the little ones’ teeth for the tooth fairy, and others have used them for their engagement and wedding rings :D

These are made from a variety of branches, and as with all my products, variations occur as each one is made individually.  This means height can vary between roughly 40mm-60mm, and the hole diameter can vary from 15mm-25mm, depending on the overall thickness and character of the branch.  Generally overall branch diameter is between 30-50mm, and can come with various character, lumps and bumps or holes that I curate to bring more character to the piece :)  This is a bit of a lucky dip situation for you, dear purchaser!  But if you need a certain diameter hole or overall height, please let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate you!

Branches also vary based on what is in my branch stash at any given time, and can include but are not limited to Macadamia, Lilly Pilly, Lychee and more, but to be honest, most are a mystery!  I use seasoned timber which means it is fully dried, and will not split and crack (which happens due to the drying process.)

The branch is hollowed out using a forstner bit, and after sanding the inside is painted with an artists acrylic paint to create a uniform finish.  The lid is hinged with a brass pin and swivels to open and close.  The branch box is then given a bath in food safe mineral oil to seal and protect it, and dried and buffed to finish!
