How Often Should You Post on Social Media?

Yes, it can drive sales. But before you get there, you need to build engagement.

People need to know you, trust you, and feel connected to you.

Think of it like a friendship. You don’t meet someone and immediately invite them to dinner. You connect, build trust, and then one day—bam—you’re sharing a meal.

Social media works the same way.

The Real Answer? It Depends.

There’s no magic number.

Some say three to five times a day. Some say three times a week.

But here’s what actually matters:

👉🏽 Quality over quantity – Posting for the sake of posting? Waste of time. Create content that makes people stop, engage, and remember you.

👉🏽 Consistency wins – One killer post a week is better than five forgettable ones.

👉🏽 Timing is everything – When is your audience online? Find their peak times and show up then.

So, How Often Should You Post?

If you’re just getting started: Once a week, same time, every week.

Why? Because consistency helps you test what works. Posting at the same time each week removes variables and makes it easier to analyse what’s working.

If you’re serious about growth: Aim for three times a week.

At this level, you’re increasing touch points while keeping things manageable.

If you're all in: Daily posting with engagement.

But only if you can keep the quality high. And remember, engagement matters just as much as posting. Reply to comments, start conversations, be present.
