This large hobo bag was created from a piece of muted sage green curtaining fabric donated by a work colleague. It is hand embroidered & appliqued with a stylised hollyhock design in multiple shades of pinks & peaches. The appliqued pieces include scraps of fabric left over from other projects. I have added buttons to many of the flower centres.
It is lined with a neutral basket weave patterned fabric that began life as a table runner. The bag has a zip pocket on the back wall and a double slip pocket inside the front wall. It closes with an antique brass coloured magnetic snap.
My hobo bags are quite big - about 35 cm x 28 cm, so they hold quite a lot.
The wide comfortable strap is long enough to wear the bag across your body, then it sits on your hip (it is 100cm). Alternatively, you could wear it on one shoulder if you prefer.
