Description
The idea for these was from my own experience reading in bed on cold nights where my hands would freeze though the rest of me was nice and toasty under covers. I thought a pair of mittens that allowed me to turn my page would be perfect.
(First pic) The "Swiper" design allows your pointer finger on either hand to slip out and turn the page or swipe your screen, withdrawing again quickly to the warmth of the mitten.
(Second pic) The "Page-Turner" design has the pointer and thumb exposed to allow for turning a page or texting on your device while keeping the rest of your hand warm.
YARN
In the personalisation section you will be able to select the brand and colour of yarn you would like for the wrist and cuff. You can choose up to two colours for each hand. I would recommend using the same brand of yarn for the whole mitten as they are quite different texturally.
Cleckheaton Country Naturals is a soft tweed yarn with flecks of colour made from a blend of Australian wool, acrylic and viscose.
Heirloom Arcadia is a unique blend of wool, alpaca and bamboo. It is softer than Cleckheaton Country Naturals.Both are machine washable on handwash/wool setting.
Once ordered, I will be in touch to get your measurements as per the picture. These mittens are made to be snug and may look narrower than expected. I find this more conducive to use. If you would prefer a loose fit, please let me know.
As these are made-to-measure, depending on how many orders I have going, they may take up to a week to make before shipping. If you need them desperately, drop me a line, I'll see what I can do!
