Part bird, part human, each little face has its own quiet personality and curious expression, finished with a shiny silver foil leaf beak.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eEvery piece is individually hand-built, then carefully painted. Using black underglaze on the bird body, once the clay reaches the perfect leather-hard stage, I use a tiny tool to patiently scratch back every feather, creating the little dotty pattern.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAfter drying, this Treasure Keeper is fired twice in the kiln:\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e• Bisque fired\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e• Glaze fired\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe bowl-shaped head is perfect for holding rings, earrings, crystals, tiny keepsakes, or simply sitting on a shelf bringing a little whimsy to your home\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eBecause every piece is handmade and painted by hand, no two are ever the same.
