It has been dry felted and hand dyed by a fellow artisan, I love to cut it all up into 75-80 cm strips and re assemble them using mum's trusty embellishing machine. It's the blending of those gorgeous colours that form the base, then I create surface interest using luminous silk fibres and\/or loads of hand stitching. Every piece has a little bit of mum's stash and mine. It's all very intuitive, I never really know where it's going until it's done. I like to complete the item with a hand made brooch, to keep you snuggly and warm. The result is a short scarf you can scrunch loosely around your throat, it is super light weight, it can stay on indoors and won't end up in your soup if you're out to lunch.
