My name is Sue and I am passionate about using natural fibres to create beautiful one-of-a-kind, ‘Perfectly Imperfect’ accessories for you and your home, which are made with love and intention in my little studio in the northern coastal suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. I hope you enjoy browsing and fall in love with something special!

As Anna Funicello once said “Life doesn’t have to be perfect to be wonderful” xx

The perfect Teacher gift!

As a retired teacher I know that teachers receive an abundance of mugs each year but how about we elevate these mugs with a little thoughtful, handmade gift instead.

A coaster and bookmark combo, both created with my very own handspun yarn using only natural materials along with a teabag and small chocolate.

Give the gift of 'Natural, Slow & Cosy' this year - just what every teacher needs and deserves - the time to sit quietly with a cuppa and a good book to let the stress dissolve and time to just be.

Each mat and bookmark is made with love - the natural fibre yarn is first handspun on either one of my spindles or spinning wheels, and then woven on a little wooden pin loom (mat) or crocheted to create a very special piece to treasure.

A beautiful simple bookmark that I've created with a crocheted handspun flower and a lovely rustic linen & cotton plait.

These bookmarks are a sweet keepsake for the special book lover in your life and make a thoughtful gift either on their own, or combined with a book or book voucher.

They are created using remnant yarn from my other projects, and are part of my small contribution towards reducing textile waste. The plait simply lays inside the pages of your book while the flower hangs over the front to keep your place secure whilst looking super sweet.

Both the mats and bookmarks are an eco-conscious option, as the fibres are naturally sustainable and compostable, ensuring that this handcrafted item can return to the earth after many cherished years.

Please note that due to the beautiful unique characteristics of handspun yarn, there may be slight differences between bookmarks and mats created with the same yarn.

The mats are approximately 9cm x 9cm.
