The decorative paper has a royal blue base patterned with small white flowers. Overlain are playful images of whistles, money bags and children’s toys in green, red, yellow and white outlined in gold.  \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eTo create each paper piece, I measure and cut from a larger sheet of paper, fold into shape and burnish to strengthen the form.  A fine strip of yellow washi is applied along the final seam marking the closure of the piece.  Craft adhesive is used to secure the shape, before each piece is lacquered once dry. Sturdy, yet delicate.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe paper tiles hang from thin 30mm gold-plated hoops between seed beads.  I have added a single bright yellow glass faceted rondelle bead to each as a burst of contrast.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eVery lightweight. Overall drop length is 6cm.
