Solenfolk

Mel Thurley is a self-taught Australian artist whose practice is grounded in curiosity, experimentation, and continual evolution. Drawn to the possibilities of new mediums and techniques, she approaches art-making as a process of discovery, embracing both intention and instinct. Her work moves between two distinct creative languages, oscillating between refinement and rawness, order and unpredictability.

Growing up on Western Australia's Coral Coast, Mel was immersed in landscapes of striking colour and contrast. The pink shimmer of salt lakes, intricate coral gardens, windswept dunes, turquoise oceans, and sunburnt cliffs continue to echo through her work. These natural elements inform her bold palettes, layered textures, and organic forms, creating pieces that feel deeply connected to both memory and place.

Working across painting and mixed media, Mel's art explores the relationship between landscape, emotion, and belonging. Her work is an invitation to pause, reconnect with the natural world, and reflect on the ways place becomes woven into identity.

AURORA is a vibrant fine art print bursting with rich, true-to-life colour, inspired by the warmth of summer and the spirit of bohemian adventure.

Originally painted in acrylic on canvas, the artwork has been professionally gallery scanned in partnership with Australia's premiere artist services, We Sell Prints, to capture every brushstroke, texture and nuance in exceptional detail.

Printed using archival quality inks on premium 310gsm cotton rag fine art paper, each print showcases brilliant colour accuracy and depth while preserving the character of the original painting.

Available in A3, A2 and A1 sizes, every print is carefully packaged and shipped free Australia-wide, ready for you to frame and bring joy to your walls.

Please reach out to inquire about other sizes and I will create a custom listing for you.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0761/3150/0338/files/903iuf_png_c35999fb-21bd-40ee-8d4f-f37382217c06.png?v=1792797062
limited-edition-fine-art-print-valley-rays
Limited Edition Fine Art Print "Valley Rays"

VALLEY RAYS is a vibrant fine art print bursting with rich, true-to-life colour, inspired by the heat of the desert summer, rolling valleys and distant mountain ranges glowing beneath the sun.
