I have collected glass beads since I was a child and have always loved glass and colour, my beads are all about colour and quirky creations. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI have been making beads for over 15 years using a technique called Lampworking. I use a hot flame to melt the coloured glass rods and once the glass is molten it is wound around a thin steel mandrel adding colours and designs as I go. Once the bead is finished I cool it slowly and the end result is actually very strong and won’t break even when accidentally dropped on a cement floor! \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFrom there I mix and match the beads to create my jewellery, no two beads or creations are the same..\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI also make hollow glass beads which are perfect for earrings as they are lightweight and the light shines through them beautifully.
