What is a HNS showcase?
A HNS showcase is when I come to your house, with a sample of all my products, to give you and 4 or more of your friends an opportunity to feel, smell & experience them, in the comfort of your own home. It is free, with a great discount incentive for the host. Total orders up to $150 ~ 10% discount on your order. Orders of $151- $400 ~ 30% discount on your order, orders of $401 - $700 ~ 40% discount on your order, total orders over $701 ~ 50% discount on your order. Only available in Perth, Western Australia. How much is postage?
Postage is charged at a flat rate of $10 for regular mail in Australia.
Pickup is available from Karrinyup, Perth, Western Australia. Please use the code 'Local' at the check out.
All HNS are handmade, in small batches. The products are produced promptly, as orders are received to ensure products that are fresh. Please allow up to 14 days to receive your delivery.
If express orders are required, please email me to see if it possible to arrange production and delivery in your schedule. Express Post rates will apply.
Please email me with expressions of interest for delivery to countries other than Australia. International postage rates will apply. No postage to United States of America and Canada.

What about returns and refunds?
Your complete satisfaction with HNS products is my main goal. If you are not 100% happy with your products, please email me within 7 days of receiving your purchase, and we can try to resolve the situation. All refunds are made at the discretion of Handmaiden Natural Skincare.
Due to the fresh nature of HNS products, I cannot accept returns for mistakes or changes of heart. Please check your order thoroughly before you place to ensure accuracy.




I have sensitive skin; can I use your products?
As I use pure ingredients, as natural as I can source, HNS products are generally very well accommodated to sensitive skin. I do advise always doing a patch test to ensure you have no reaction to them. If you are concerned about a specific medical condition, please consult your doctor.

Do I need to do a patch test?
I advise you always do. Even though HNS products are natural, I do use essential oils and other ingredients that may trigger a reaction. If you get a reaction, please discontinue use immediate.

Can I use your products whilst pregnant?
I use only safe ingredients, but most of HNS products do contain essential oils. I would advise to not use any essential oils during the first 3 months of pregnancy, and please speak to your doctor regarding their use later in the pregnancy.

Do essential oils make my skin photosensitive?
Some essential oil, including most of the citrus family, can cause your skin to become more sensitive to UV light from the sun. Please read the ingredients thoroughly, and wear adequate sun protection to avoid any sun damage.



I am on medication; can I use your product?
Some essential oils in HNS products may interfere with the effectiveness of certain medication or treatments. Please read the label and consult with your doctor regarding the use of HNS products.

I have blood pressure concerns, can I use your products?
Some essential oils in HNS products may affect blood pressure. Please read the label carefully and consult with your doctor regarding the use of HNS products

Do your products contain nuts?
Whilst no HNS products contain peanuts or peanut oil, some products do contain other tree nut and seed oils. Many of the products also contain coconut, coconut oil, and Shea butter. I advise to ensure you read the ingredient list to see if the products are suitable to you. I advise to always do a patch test. All HNS products are made with utensils that are in contact with nuts.

Do you test your products on animals?
No. None of HNS products are tested on animals. I have tested all the products on myself, and willing friends and family.

Where are your products made?
All HNS products are handmade in Perth, Western Australia.

How should I store your products?
All HNS products should be stored in a cool dark place, away from direct sunlight, at less than 30 degrees. They do not need to be refrigerated. Replace lids after use, to avoid products drying out, and essential oil evaporation. To ensure HNS products retain their optimum freshness and quality, please use a clean spoon or utensil, and clean hands when using. Avoid any contact with water.

Do your products contain any preservatives?
Yes. Most HNS products contain a natural preservative of Grapefruit Seed Extract, a broad-spectrum antimicrobial compound made from the seeds and pulp of grapefruit. Some products may contain Optiphen plus. It is a globally approved, broad-spectrum antimicrobial liquid that is formaldehyde and paraben free. To ensure HNS products retain their optimum freshness and quality, store in a cool, dark place. Avoid any contact with water, and use clean hands and utensils.

How long do your products last?
Most HNS products are guaranteed for 6 months from production. Please read the label for production dates. To insure HNS products retain their optimum freshness, store in a cool, dark place, and replace lids after use. Avoid contact with water, and use clean hands and utensils.

Why are there colour variations in different batches of the same product?
Environmental factors will affect the colour of natural ingredients. This in turn will affect the colour of products made with it. I do not add any additional artificial or natural colours to any HNS products.

Do your products contain any Petrochemicals or additives?
I do not add any parabens, SLS, petrochemicals, synthetic fragrance or synthetic colours to any HNS product.
