About Missy Mop Patch

Hi everyone

A little about myself. My crafting journey began when I was a youngster. My mother was a handy sewer and knitter and my paternal grandmother was a very talented crochetist (if that's a word). My father bought me a subscription to "Golden Hands" (an English monthly craft magazine), when I was about 9. It was all I could do to wait until the next monthly instalment came out so I could try something new.

My passion for all things crafty has been ongoing ever since.

I first started quilting after I was given a handmade quilt for the birth of my first child nearly 20 years ago (whom was later nicknamed Missy Mop, hence the name of the store).

I began selling dolls clothes at various craft markets near my home.

I love getting in my sewing room and just losing myself in fabric much to my husbands dismay. He is a shearer and always asking for his clothes to be mended. I read a quote the other day which made me laugh - "Asking a quilter to mend is like asking Michael Angelo to paint your garage" - SO true!

I hope you find something in my collection that appeals to you.
