Store Setup Features

What are the setup features of my Madeit store?

Once you have set up your store information you will be shown a number of options under Store Setup. These include Categories, Payment Details, Postage & Handling Details, Google Analytics, Store Sale & Coupons, Holiday Mode & Reorder Items.

Can I set up my own categories for my store?

Yes, you have the option of using up to 10 of your own categories in your store and the ability to order them as you wish. 

Once you set up your store categories they will appear when creating a new item or editing an item.

If you choose not to use your own store categories then by default, the Madeit categories will be used in your store.

Visit the Categories link in your My Madeit > Store Setup for instructions on setting up your own store categories.

Can I track how many people visit my store & items?

Google Analytics is a great way of tracking your store activity, this is the amount of people who visit your store and where they are coming from. To set up your Google Analytics account visit http://www.google.com/analytics/

Once you have set up your account you will be given a code to enter into your Google Analytics Page, the code will be in the format UA-XXXXXXXX-X

It will take at least 24 hours or longer for Google to start tracking your store activity. 

Visit the Google Analytics link in your My Madeit> Store Setup to add your Google Analytics code.

Can I temporarily close my store while I'm on holidays or at the markets?

Yes. Holiday mode can be used to temporarily close your store. Your items and store will not appear in searches and your items can not be purchased until you deactivate holiday mode.

You can include a message that will appear underneath your banner which will be shown if a buyer has a direct link to your item or store. We recommend including a return date in this message if possible, so that customers who visit your store know when to return.

Putting your store in holiday mode will also pause your subscription for up to one full billing cycle. See the Prices and Billing help section for more details on pausing your subscription with holiday mode.

Visit the Holiday Mode link in your My Madeit Store Setup to activate or deactivate holiday mode.

Can I easily reorder my store?

Yes on the Reorder Items page you can easily reorder your items by clicking and dragging your items into position, once you are happy with the order of your items click save.

Once you have clicked saved your store order will be saved and will be your default order in your store. 

Visit the Reorder Items link in your My My Madeit> Store Setup to reorder your items.
