What are concurrent listings?

Concurrent listings are the maximum number of active listings you can have in your store at one time. You can deactivate and reactivate listings as much as you like, relist items when they sell, list new items when one-off items sell, and list / sell multiple quantities or a listing without incurring more fees.

What does ‘categories per item’ mean?

Rather than charging per item to include it in a second category, our higher tier plans let you list all your items in up to two categories so they're easier for customers to find.

If I choose the hobby plan do all my items need to be listed in the same category?

No. The number of categories in the pricing table are per listing. If you choose the Hobby plan you will be able to select one category in which to show each listing. That category can be different for each item in your store. Choosing the Micro Biz plan or above will give you one extra category per listing. This will not affect your store categories, only the shopping categories on the homepage.

What are gift guide credits?

Each gift guide credit allows you to promote one of your products in our Gift Guide for 15 days (value: $2/item). Please see our Gift Guide Advertising section of the help pages for more information.

If I list an item with a quantity of 100 and a customer buys 50 of them, will I be charged extra listing fees?

No. Quantities of the same item do not incur a charge and do not take up extra space in your shop. Sell as much as you like, and your costs will always be the same.

Will I be charged a commission on top of my plan price when I sell something?

Nope! Sales commissions are a thing of the past!

Are there any additional features that may incur a fee?

To have your listing featured in the gift guide & front page in our gift guide for up to 15 days (or until sold) is an additional cost of $2.00 per listing. Our business tier plans include some gift guide credits each billing period, or you can purchase them separately from the Billing page in My Madeit before listing in the gift guide.

If I my store has the maximum number of items allowed by my plan and I sell an item, can I list another item to replace it?

Yes, you can. Think of the number of Concurrent Listings as the size of your trestle table at a market. If you have a table (a plan) with space for 50 items you can swap items around depending on the season, replace old products with new ones, and replace sold items with the same item or a different item, and it won’t cost you any more. If you need to add more items than you have space for, you just upgrade to a bigger table.

If I reach my maximum number of listings for my plan, will I be charged a fee for each extra item or will I be charged for the next plan up?

If you reach the maximum number of concurrent active listings that your plan allows, you’ll be prompted to upgrade your plan before you can add more items. If you don’t want to upgrade you can deactivate some items and then upload your new items to replace them. Note that we will not

If I find I need more listings than my plan allows, can I upgrade straight away or do I have to wait until my renewal date?

You can upgrade your plan at any time and your bill will be prorated so you only pay the difference between the old and the new plan. For example, if, after a month on the quarterly Micro Biz plan ($18) you decide to upgrade to the quarterly Small Biz plan ($48), your account will be credited for 2 months of the Micro Biz plan (-$12) and debited for 2 months of the Small Biz plan ($32) so you’ll be charged the difference of $20 when you upgrade. At the next billing cycle you’ll be charged the normal quarterly price of the new plan. Clear as mud.

Can I downgrade my plan at any time?

So that we can offer discounts for annual plans, and gift guide credits that don’t expire, plan downgrades can only take place at the end of a billing cycle. You can initiate a downgrade at any time, but the changes won’t take effect until your next billing date. You will retain full access to the higher plan until the end of your billing cycle.

If I haven’t got any active items at the end of my billing cycle will I be charged to renew?

Yes. If you’re not planning to be active on the site, please cancel your subscription, as renewals will be charged automatically at the end of each period and they are non-refundable.

How long do I need to subscribe for?

You can choose between quarterly or annual subscriptions, and if you can commit to us by subscribing for a year, your plan will be up to 20% cheaper! And we'll be in a loving, committed relationship!

Will subscriptions be refundable if I change my mind?

No, our ability to offer better value prices in a subscription model mean that we cannot offer refunds.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

You can initiate a subscription cancellation at any time and you will not be billed further, however the changes to your account will not take effect until the end of your billing cycle. You will retain full access to all included features during that time.

What will happen to my store after my subscription is cancelled?

Once you cancel a subscription, all your products and account history remain in our system so you can easily re-subscribe if you're planning to return after an extended break. If you'd like us to remove your store, just drop us a line at support@madeit.com.au and we can delete it from the database, however please bear in mind that store deletion cannot be reversed.

When do I get charged for my item listing fees?

You will be charged up-front for your subscription, and subscriptions will renew automatically at the end of each billing period. Any add-ons such as gift guide credits will be added to your next invoice and will be charged to your credit card when your subscription renews or is cancelled.

How long does my listing last?

Listings last for 6 months or 180 days from the date of creation of the listing unless the item sells before this time.

What happens to my subscription while my store is in holiday mode?

Putting your store in holiday mode will pause your subscription for up to one billing period (3 months for quarterly plans and 12 months for annual plans). So long as you’re away for less than a whole billing period you will not be charged any renewal fees while you’re away and your renewal date will be extended by the number of days you were away. If you are planning an extended absence (longer than an entire billing period) we recommend that you cancel your subscription before you go, so you won’t incur any further charges.
