From the Earth Plates

Glazed in a beautiful combination of tenmoku and honey flux, they have earthy golden brown and creamy hues. These plates would be great for serving biscuits, toast, sandwiches or a small cheese platter for two, they are between 19.5 - 20.5 cm wide
Each piece is thrown on the wheel and a number of days later trimmed to the required shape, they are then carefully left to slowly dry until it reaches bone dry.
The piece is then bisque fired to a 1000 degrees celsius, after this I sand and wash each piece ready to glaze. After the glaze has had time to dry I then fire it for a second time to 1220 degrees celsius.
Each unique item takes approximately 2-3 weeks to complete.

All pieces are glazed with food safe glazes and are dishwasher and microwave proof.
Handwashing is recommended for the longevity of your piece.
