Blue Jay speckles

These earrings are not a perfect circle. The disc is cut out and put through my rolling mill to distort the shape a little to make it more interesting. Adding a large hole at the top of the earring using my large disc cutter.
The base on these earrings has two layers of Blue Jay blue. .Once fired and cooled I then add shards of glass in blue, white and green. The glass shards are fired into the red base but not fully melted, so the lumps are slightly raised and textured.

Each earring measures 2.5cm long and 2.5cm wide.
The ear hooks are also hand made from argentium silver wire and are great for sensitive ears
