This Hedy Convertible Clutch has been made using a unique silver and black speckle kangaroo hide that is one of a kind. It has a cotton lining, featuring a a pebble print to compliment the amazing leather. This purse can be used as a clutch, over the shoulder or cross body bag. The hardware is a silver colour.
This design was named after Hedy Lamarr, actress, producer and inventor. While a Hollywood film star, at the start of World War II, Hedy co-invented a version of frequency-hopping spread spectrum communication for torpedo guidance. Like it’s namesake, this bag is glamours and multi-faceted, and is more than meets the eye.
The shoulder strap at it’s shortest is 78cm and fully adjusted is 141cm, measuring from each end of the swivel snaps.
Measurements are approximate as the leather is soft
20cm tall
28cm at widest
4cm wide gusset
How does it convert - metal press snaps inside will hold the tabs in place, simply unclip both sides of the strap, and snap the tabs inside to make a streamlined clutch bag.
There is a zipper gusset inside, with an additional small zipper pocket on the inside that has a rainbow plant splatter lining for a pop of hidden colour
Leather made in Australia, and the lining fabric was sourced from an Australian business. Bags are designed and made in my MEW Designs studio in Brisbane Australia
As the leather is a natural product there may be slight variations in the texture and finish.
