Handmade Glass Lampwork Ocean Dragonfly Bead Sterling Silver Necklace OOAK

My name is Val and I have been making Lampwork beads for over 10 years now. Melting glass has been an obsession for all that time.

My beads are annealed inside a glass annealing kiln - this process takes away any thermal shock from the glass which may have occurred during the glass making process - annealed beads are durable and long lasting. Having said that, please do not drop your glass jewellery onto hard floors as it may chip or crack. It is glass after all.

This gorgeous medium sized pendant which has taken approximately 30 minutes to make in the flame and the bead has then spent many hours in the annealing kiln soaking at 525 degrees Celsius.

I have painted a dragonfly in glass onto the glass bead. This process takes place inside the flame.

I have used all Sterling Silver components to wire wrap the bead into a pendant.

The necklace is a very fine .7mm snake chain in Sterling Silver. It is 16”long.
