Up-cycled CD Earrings.

These stunning earrings have been handmade using up-cycled CDs (rescued before they went to landfill). They are sealed with a high quality resin coating to make them strong and durable, and feel beautiful.
Extra shiny and iridescent in the sun! The hint of rainbow that you see in this pair is the iridescence shining through. A layer of resin protects the design and adds shine and dimension.
My Story
I used to be an ordinary compact disc. My life was hard, short and generally wasted. One happy day I was picked up, washed, dried, cut into shapes, heated up and born again as this surprising object. I am a unique piece of jewellery now. I am beautiful, eco friendly and worth it! You will never find anything exactly the same as me. I am one in my own kind! My transformation gives you an extraordinary accessory to wear and a cleaner environment for generations to come.
Eco-Friendly
I am concerned about the environment and am up cycle as many of my materials as possible. All the beads and feature materials that I use are recycled, and some are vintage or antique. However, some of the findings and stringing materials will be new, as I think it is important to prioritise making things that will withstand heavy wear for quite a considerable amount of time. 
The size of the earrings are, 45 X 50mm the drop is 70mm.  The ear hooks are 925 sterling silver.
