This artwork was created using black Japanese Ogura Lace Paper attached to Watercolour Paper. The idea was to subtly create the illusion of the Cockatoo using the texture and design of the paper. I have never created anything on this kind of paper before - it was a challenge but lots of fun.
This piece will be placed in a silver frame and if not sold beforehand will be going to the Pomona Station Gallery in time for Christmas.
