Set in 1920s, against the backdrop of the British Raj and the tensions of the Indian Independence Movement, A Passage to India is full of the colour and clamour of India and of racial tensions and prejudices towards the Indian people. This prize winning novel is considered one of the top 100 novels of 20th century English literature and is a widely read book.

This Novel Bag has transformed an old, forgotten copy of this classic into a stunning new item. The elegant, but subdued cover design is contrasted against a lining fabric of bright orange flowers and golden highlights that remind us of the vibrance of Indian culture. It has gold book corners and large gold findings that add to the glamour of this bag.

It has a reinforced spine and measures 23.5 x 15.5 x 3 (9.25 x 6.1 x 1.18 in) and is large enough to carry your personal items. It closes with a highly decorative button and an elasticised loop. This handmade bag is totally unique and is sure to be noticed. It is a lovely gift to yourself or would be a great present to a lover of literature.
