Barchester Towers Novel Bag - Anthony Trollope - Bag made from a book

Barchester Towers was the second novel in Anthony Trollopes "Chronicles of Barsetshire" series. When first published in 1857 it was considered to be full of exaggeration and vulgarity as it made light of the relationship within the Church of England between high church adherents and evangelicals. Today it receives a more generous view and is consider to be many readers' favourite Trollope with its memorable characters like Mrs Proudie and Mr Slope.

This abandoned copy has been rescued from the shelves of the local charity shop and upcycled into this cute little Novel Bag. It is lined with a striking fabric that delightfully matches the colourings of the cover design and closes with a feature button and elasticised loop. It has gold chain handles and gold book corners to protect its edges.

With a reinforced spine and measuring 20.5 x 13.2 x 2.3 cm (8 x 5.2 x .9 in) this petite bag is able to carry a few small personal items. It is the perfect accessory to any outfit and is sure to be a great conversation starter. It is the perfect gift for the lover of literature in your life or would be a lovely gift to yourself.
