Upcycled Book Club

Marlowe and Shakespeare - Elizabethan Drama - Bag made from a book

William Shakespeare has always been surrounded by controversy and speculation, especially since we know so little about him. The details of his life, at best, are sketchy and very few documents about him survive. Likewise, his contemporary, Christopher Marlowe is surrounded by doubt and rumour ranging from espionage to actually being a collaborator with Shakespeare or indeed, The Bard himself. We may never know the truth but are still able to enjoy their writings.

This elegant Novel Bag has been upcycled a pre-loved copy of Elizabethan Drama - Marlowe and Shakespeare. It was rescued from the dusty shelves of the local op shop and has been re-imagined into this one-of-a-kind handbag. The gold findings and fabulous houndstooth lining fabric compliment the design of the cover. Its handles are made from an upcycled belt and it closes with an elasticised loop and a feature button.

With a reinforced spine and measuring 22 x 14.5 x 3.8 cm (8.66 x 5.7 x 1.49 in) it can carry your phone and a few other small personal items. It is an ideal gift for a lover of English literature, for a die-hard Shakespeare fan or as a treat for yourself. It is sure to draw comment and will compliment any outfit.

Upcycled Book Club is situated in Brunswick, Victoria. If you are in the area, convo me about a local pick up and avoid paying shipping costs.

"Out, damned spot! Out, I say!—One, two.
Why, then, ’tis time to do ’t.
Hell is murky!—Fie, my lord, fie!
A soldier, and afeard?
What need we fear who knows it, when none can call our power to account?
—Yet who would have thought the old man to have had so much blood in him.”
William Shakespeare
